Energy for All

The Energy for All Partnership was formed by the Asian Development Bank in 2008, to build platforms for cooperation, exchange, innovation, and project development for solutions to widespread energy poverty. Energy for All initiative has brought together key stakeholders from business, finance, government, and NGOs for a singular purpose: to drive action towards a goal of providing energy access to 100 million people in Asia and the Pacific Region by 2015.

Artha Platform

The Artha Platform is an online community and website dedicated to building relationships between impact investors/donors, social entrepreneurs and capacity support organizations working on or in India. It is an independent initiative supported by Rianta Capital Zurich.


Ashden is a London-based charity promoting sustainable energy and all the life-changing benefits it brings. It does this by championing practical, local energy solutions that cut carbon, protect the environment, reduce poverty and improve people’s lives in the UK and developing world. To this effect, they run the Ashden Awards, the world’s leading green energy awards scheme, and provide winners with a wide-ranging package of support, tailor-made to their needs. Ashden also does advocacy and research in the field of sustainable energy.

GSBI (University of Santa Clara)

The Global Social Benefit Institute (GSBI®) is a hub for global, innovation-based entrepreneurship in service to humanity. GSBI currently includes two distinct capacity development programs to social entrepreneurs: the GSBI Accelerator, which offers customized curriculum for more advanced social enterprises preparing to scale their business, and GSBI Online, which offers general business training for earlier-stage ventures to validate their enterprise’s model.


The CTI Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN) identifies promising clean energy projects at an early stage and provides mentoring for development of a business plan, investment pitch, and growth strategy, significantly enhancing the possibility of financial closure.


SELCO Incubation Lab is the research and incubation arm of SELCO. The lab was setup in April 2009 to develop new clean and sustainable technologies for the rural poor other than lighting. The lab is hosted inside the premises of SDM Institute of Technology, Ujire, Karnataka. The rural setting gives the lab access to local customers, instant feedback, and visibility into available resources and constraints.



WWF-India is a premier conservation organisation in the country dealing with nature conservation, environmental protection and development-related issues. WWF has developed a climate innovations platform called Climate Solver in order to strengthen the development and widespread use of low carbon technologies, which transformatively reduce carbon-dioxide emissions or provide energy access. Climate Solver was launched by WWF-Sweden in 2008. In 2012, WWF-India launched this platform for small and medium enterprises in India to enhance the outreach of Climate Solver as an international low carbon platform.
